ReciproCoaches: Coaches who survive and thrive

As a coach, you know success is all about constantly honing your skills, achieving mastery, and nurturing a professional community to support and stretch you across the years.

The ReciproCoach community gives you that edge. Whether you coach many or just one client, whether you've been coaching for years, or are just starting out, you cannot afford to work in a vacuum.

While your regular clients may give you feedback, nothing beats the feedback of your peers, who have the same skillful, discerning ears as you do, capable of hearing just where your professional and personal development needs to go.

As a double bonus, when you coach a ReciproCoach, you also receive coaching in return. Being coached by your peers is an effective professional development tool. You learn new skills, reinforce and deepen your existing skills and develop a stronger understanding of client processes, immeasurably essential in developing coaching mastery.

Participating in a ReciproCoach coaching round means you receive coaching in exchange for giving coaching. With this kind of reciprocal peer coaching, you get the two-way benefits of coaching another coach and being coached - an ongoing professional development check that leads you to:

  • rise to the challenge of coaching another coach
  • deepen your self-awareness and coaching confidence
  • know your coaching skills are always up to scratch
  • build up your coaching hours
  • have a safe space to practice
  • have a great place to try out different approaches or learn new coaching techniques
  • expand and deepen your coaching networks
  • have a friendship circle of coaches
  • give back to the coaching community by supporting a fellow coach

ReciproCoach is a community of coaches from around the world who make reciprocal peer coaching, mentoring and supervision possible. You don't pay for the coaching, mentoring or supervision you receive, instead you just pay a small fee to ReciproCoach, whose coordinators then set up a reciprocal relationship for you, where you get coaching/mentoring/supervision in exchange for giving it.

In short, you get complete series of coaching, mentoring and supervision for less than half the cost of a normal session. It's better than buddy coaching, because you never coach the person who's coaching you (this usually creates ethical dilemmas) and you've got more chance of getting just the coach you need, because there are so many coaches involved. It also beats coaching triads, because you establish a real relationship with your coach and coachee and you can submit real coaching sessions for observation by a mentor.
