Join the ReciproCoach ICF conference presentation team - without even being in London!

You might have heard already.

The ReciproCoach leadership team (myself together with the three other language coordinators) is presenting at the ICF conference in London in October.

What you wouldn't have heard yet that we'd like ONE ReciproCoach to join us in our presentation... and you don't even have to be in London to do it (of course, if you are there, all the better).

How?

One of the components of our presentation Powerful Learning from the Inside Out is to showcase the learning that can come from acting as a mentor to someone else. Everyone knows the benefits that come from being mentored - that's why it's part of the ICF credentialing program. However, few people know the powerful learning that comes from being a mentor to another coach and even fewer coaches understand that mentoring another coach is actually more powerful than being mentored oneself (ReciproCoaches who have participated in our peer mentoring program are among the few who do know this)!

Because I'm a fan of experiential learning, it's not enough just to tell people this. They need to experience it to believe it. So in order to help them have this experience, I'm hoping there's a ReciproCoach out there (perhaps you?) who's courageous enough to give us a 15 minute (approx) recording of an excerpt from a real coaching session that we can use to facilitate a typical mentoring experience. We will collate the feedback from the group of international coaches attending our session at the conference and send it to you, plus, if you're up for it, we may even try to wangle a surprise if you're going to be at the conference yourself or if you have access to skype/phone at the time we'll be presenting (the surprise will be revealed to the ReciproCoach we choose and of course to the participants on the day).

Apart from the buzz of joining us in our presentation in London (whether in the flesh or virtually) and the public acknowledgement we'll give you (unless you want to remain anonymous, which is OK too), I'll be giving the ReciproCoach whose recording we decide to use a free level 4 ReciproCoach membership, as a thanks for your courageous contribution to our presentation and the professional development of the conference participants who join our session.

If you're keen to throw your hat in the ring and join what I've just realised is our first ReciproCoach competition (?!), email your recordings directly to me (if you don't have my email address, you can get it from the ReciproCoach members area).

If you'd like to check out what else is happening at the ICF conference in London in October, you can see the full schedule here: http://coachfederation.org/London2012/index.cfm/confmicro/schedule

I have to say, it's nice to be accepted to speak at the ICF global conference, but what's exciting me the most (in addition to seeing Brené Brown live as a keynote presenter!) is that I'll get to meet some ReciproCoaches I've 'known' for years for the first time in the flesh. So far I know of 7 ReciproCoaches who will be attending, so it seems to be shaping up to be something of a 'family' reunion! If you are planning to come to the conference, please let me know, so I can add you to the list for our first ever face-to-face ReciproCoach gathering.

I look forward to seeing who will step forward and with what... remember, it doesn't have to be a recording of your best coaching - in fact, a recording of your typical coaching would be better for your learning and for ours.
